Meet the Pilgrims - Flora
I am going on this trip because I think that it will strengthen my belief in God as well as give me an amazing opportunity to see and learn abut a new part of our world and the culture that exists there. I am most excited about climbing Masada and visiting the Dead Sea, but also for walking the Stations of the Cross and getting to be where Jesus once lived. I can't wait and I think it will be so much fun! - Flora
About the Committee for Youth Exchange and Mission of the Diocese of Olympia
The Committee for Youth Exchange and Mission is a new program of the Youth and Young Adult Ministries of the Diocese of Olympia. The 2010 Pilgrimage will be the first major project of this committee, though we hope to expand our offerings to provide youth with a variety of opportunities to live out their faith through good works - in the US and abroad- and to build relationships with young people in other cultures.
Our pilgrims will want to share their experiences with others in the Diocese of Olympia. Would you consider inviting a small group of them to your parish to talk with your youth or adults? If you are interested, please e-mail JR Lander at jameslander@gmail.com and he will ask the group who might be available.
